ABC has renewed Station 19 for a fourth season, as the Shondaland series continues to rank as the number one program in its timeslot!

Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment, announced the news of ABC’s decision to bring Station 19 back to our screens for another season. The series is produced by ABC Studios, which is part of Disney Television Studios.

Krista Vernoff serves as the showrunner and executive producer, alongside Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers who also serve as executive producers on the series. Meanwhile, Paris Barclay serves as the producing director and executive producer of Station 19.

Station 19 ranks as the Number 1 program in Thursday’s 8:00 p.m. timeslot this season in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. It’s also growing in the overall audience from its prior season, up 9%, making Station 19 season 3 its most popular yet. The series also averages 13.5 million Total Viewers and a 3.71 rating in Adults 18-49 after 35 days of delayed viewing on both linear and digital platforms.

“Krista Vernoff is a sharp, superb storyteller and we’re so grateful to her – along with the talented cast and crew – for all they’ve done to make ’Station 19’ thrive this season,” Karey Burkes said in a comment on the renewal. “This addictive, rich show is hitting series highs this year for a reason, and we can’t wait to deliver more great stories to our passionate audience.”

Station 19 stars Jaina Lee Ortiz as Andy Herrera, Jason George as Ben Warren, Boris Kodjoe as Robert Sullivan, Grey Damon as Jack Gibson, Barrett Doss as Victoria Hughes, Jay Hayden as Travis Montgomery, Okieriete Onaodowan as Dean Miller, Danielle Savre as Maya Bishop, and Miguel Sandoval as Pruitt Herrera.

The characters of Station 19 also frequently crossover on Grey’s Anatomy which was renewed for a seventeenth season back in May 2019. The two shows exist in the same universe, with Grey’s Anatomy focusing on the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital and Station 19 on a group of Seattle firefighters they often work alongside and see after hours as well.
