‘Black Widow’ and ‘Cruella’ are getting a premier shake up by Disney
Disney has done a little summer release update for its delayed blockbusters.
Today Disney announced another release date shuffle, this time instead of delaying the upcoming movies it has decided to release them in multiple forms to accommodate all viewers no matter the pandemic circumstances.
Black Widow and Cruella will both premier on Disney+ with Premier Access on the same day they hit movie theaters. Cruella, starring Emma Stone will premiere May 28. The next Marvel movie starring Scarlett Johansson, Black Widow is now being delayed another 2 months and will have a brand new release date of July 9th. This seems like it will be the last time the the super hero flick will be delayed from its original date from May of 2020.
When it comes to Disney+’s Premier Access it follows the pattern of Raya and the Last Dragon and Mulan and will cost an additional one time fee of $30 for each movie on top of the monthly fee.
Lastly, Disney announced that its next partnership with Pixar, Luca, will be available to stream June 18th on Disney+, but following in the footsteps of Soul and not requiring Premier Access and skipping a theatrical release all together.
