Today, CBS announced the series premiere dates for two new reality series, Game on! and Tough As Nails!
CBS has brought some good news, and some bad news for reality show fans The series premiere dates for Game On! and Tough As Nails have been announced, but they’ve also announced that The Amazing Race premiere has been pushed back because of this. The Amazing Race season 32 was originally going to premiere on May 20 but will now be rescheduled for later in 2020.
As for the new series, Game On! will be the first to premiere — with its debut episode on Wednesday, May 20th at 8:00-9:00 PM, ET. The comedic game show is hosted by Keegan-Michael Key and from Fulwell 73 executive producers Ben Winston and James Corden.
The new series celebrates the entertainment of sports and is based on the BAFTA-winning U.K. series A League of Their Own. Game On! features two teams of three players going against each other in over-the-top physical challenges, absurd trivia, and field competitions. They’ll be captained by tennis champion Venus Williams and Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski. As well as comedians Bobby Lee and Ian Karmel, sports stars, comedians, and celebrities who will rotate on the series.
Tough As Nails will premiere later in the summer, with its debut episode airing on Wednesday, July 8th at 9:00-10:00 PM, ET. The competition series celebrates everyday Americans who get their hands dirty in order to keep their nation running. Competitors will be tested for their strength, endurance, life skills, and mental toughness in challenges that take place at real job sites.
The new series comes from Emmy Award-winning producer Phil Keoghan (The Amazing Race). Tough As Nails is produced by Raquel Productions Inc. in association with Tough House Productions Inc, Phil Keoghan, Louise Keoghan, and Anthony Carbone serve as executive producers.
