Lily Collins stars in Darren Star’s new romantic comedy, Emily in Paris, which was just picked up by Netflix.
Fans of Darren Star know that he is a powerhouse when it comes to creating hit television shows, having created and written shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–2000), Melrose Place (1992–1999), Sex and the City (1998–2004), and Younger (2015–present).
For Emily in Paris, Star has joined forces with MTV Studios to bring it to life. The show was originally set to air on Paramount Network when it was greenlit back in 2018 but due to other shows being cancelled by sister networks, the show was put on hold.
Lily Collins stars and produces the series that follows her character, Emily, a marketing executive from Chicago in her 20’s who lands her dream job in Paris. Her new life is filled with challenges at work, all while juggling new adventures, romances, and friendships.
The first season of Emily in Paris consists of 10 episodes, 30 minutes in length, which were filmed entirely in Paris and surrounding areas in France.
Other cast members include co-star Ashley Park, and series regulars Philippine Leroy Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Camille Razat and Bruno Gouery. Kate Walsh, William Abadie and Arnaud Viard have recurring roles.
Season 1 of Emily In Paris is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix in the Fall of 2020.
