‘Euphoria’ is returning with two new special episodes in December

New Euphoria episodes are headed your way this December!

In August Zendaya, the Emmy Award winning actress for playing Rue and the star of the Emmy award winning drama series, teased that there was a very good possibility there would be a couple special episodes while they figure out the logistics for filming season 2. Well, the hit series is officially set to return with two special episodes, the first will be air December 6th!

All we know so far is that the episode will air on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. It will pick up after the events of the season 1 finale. In the aftermath of being left by Jules (Hunter Schafer) at the train station and relapsing in her addiction, the special episode is said to follow Rue as she celebrates Christmas.

The episode titled “Trouble Don’t Last Always” was written and directed by series creator Sam Levinson. The title and date of the second episode have not yet been released, but both special episodes were produced under COVID-19 guidelines.

As mentioned above, these are going to be considered bridge episodes as the all those involved with Euphoria figure out the logistics to safely produce the second season of the show. There is no word on when season 2 will be able to start or when HBO is aiming to premiere the season.

For now, we will be counting down the days until the first bridge episode and information on the second.

Euphoria returns with special episode on December 6th at 9 p.m.
