‘Master of None’ will return to Netflix for season 3 in May

Netflix and Aziz Ansari are finally ready for season 3 of Master of None to debut.

Fans of the Netflix show have been eagerly waiting for news of when Master of None would be returning. The show has not had a set schedule so it has been a total mystery when it would be returning since there has been no news of a cancellation. The first season debuted in 2015 with the second season arriving in 2017. Now 4 whole years later, season 3 will arrive on the streamer this May.

The initial news came as a larger tweet from @NetflixQueue Twitter account along with a list of other upcoming show and movie arrivals. It was later announced that season 3 will be arriving on May 23rd.

While Ansari’s character, Dev, lead the charge in the first two seasons, the new season will be a spin off of sorts centering around Lena Waithe’s character Denise. The Denise centered episode ‘Thanksgiving’ of season 2 took home an Emmy for best comedy writing.

Not much plot wise has been released besides that fans are going to get to see more of Denise’s life. From the promotional material so far it looks like the season will be heavily centered around her love life specifically.

In addition we now know for certain that Naomi Ackie (The End of the F***ing World, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker) had joined the cast to play opposite of Waithe as her love interest.

Check out the third season of Master of None on Netflix, May 23rd.
