Netflix, the largest subscription streamer in the world, is now offering a free tier for those who haven’t yet subscribed.
If you are one of the few people who doesn’t have a Netflix subscription, or if you have lost your friend’s password, you can now get a taste of what the platform has to offer, for free!
Free streaming titles include both Netflix original films and the first episodes of select original TV shows. The film lineup includes the Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler collaboration Murder Mystery, the Sandra Bullock thriller Bird Box, and The Two Popes, which earned Oscar nominations for stars Jonathan Pryce and Anthony Hopkins at the 2020 awards.
The TV selections include the sci-fi hit Stranger Things, the award-winning miniseries When They See Us by Ava DuVernay, the Spanish-language high school drama Elite, the recent reality dating series Love Is Blind, the nature documentary Our Planet, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda’s sitcom Grace and Frankie, and the animated movie spin-off The Boss Baby: Back in Business.
“Netflix is the premiere destination for all your entertainment needs. But don’t take our word for it – check out some of our favorite movies and TV shows, absolutely free,” says a message on the free portion of the website. “The selection may change from time to time, so watch now!”
Keep in mind that Netflix’s free titles can ONLY be viewed on the web with a computer or on an Android device. Strangely, Apple iOS browsers are not supported. You can’t stream the free content on connected-TV platforms either.
