Netflix has released the official trailer for I Am Not Okay With This, a brand new series based on the popular Charles Forsman graphic novel of the same name!
The streaming giant is looking to capture audiences’ attention with a brand new series from the producers of Stranger Things with a similar vibe in I Am Not Okay With This. The series follows Sydney, played by Sophia Lillis, who’s dealing with the nuances of her awkward teenage years.
Though Sydney says she’s boring and not special in the trailer, she’s anything but average. Trying to control her anger, which has unraveled since her father’s death, Sydney begins to keep a diary to try and deal with everything. But she’s also starting to discover that she has superpowers that are out of her control.
On top of that, she’s in love with her best friend Dina (played by Sofia Bryant). Who also happens to be dating golden boy Bradley Lewis – but he isn’t as nice as he might seem. Sydney also has Stanley Barber (played by Wyatt Oleff), who lives down the street from her and is amazed by her powers while they freak her out.
Sydney asks, “Dear diary, what the hell is going on with me?”
