On July 6th Netflix announced that it is renewing Dead to Me for a third and final season.
This announcement comes with some more news that the show’s creator, Liz Feldman, just signed a multi-year partnership with Netflix to work on more original series and other projects with the streamer. This deal moves Feldman from her previous agreement with CBS TV Studios.
The show also released a fun short video clip to accompany the final season announcement. Check it out below.

A huge advantage of working with a streamer is that creators have much more control over their stories. There is definitely something to be appreciated about a show’s creator ending it how they always envisioned, instead of continuing a half baked storyline just because fans want more. It is clear that Feldman enjoys working with Netflix from her statement below.
“From start to finish, Dead To Me is exactly the show I wanted to make,” Feldman said in a statement. “And it’s been an incredible gift. Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human. I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead To Me from day one, and I’m thrilled to continue our collaboration.”
There is no word yet when the final season of Dead to Me will be released.
