The upcoming Disney+ Marvel series may have found its lead in Oscar Isaac.
Oscar Isaac may soon be embedding himself deeper into the Disney family. He is currently in talks to star in Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series, Moon Knight.
The comic book series by the same name was created by Dough Munch and Don Perlin. Moon Knight is a mercenary who also happens to be a millionaire entrepreneur, Marc Spector. He uses his fortune and his alter ego to do good.
Now you may be thinking, oh this sounds a lot like Batman, however Moon Knight isn’t a regular ol’ vigilante. He’s also has a few superpowers that he gained during an archeological dig accident that left with increased strength, speed, and endurance.
On the brink of death he is approached by the Egyptian moon god, Khonshu, who gives him a chance to save himself. The catch being that Spector must become Khonshu’s human host, which in turn make his super power be affected by the lunar cycle.
At the moment Oscar Isaac is the only star in talks of leading the series, but since he is already in the family from play Poe Dameron in the Star Wars Skywalker Saga. Something we know for sure is that Jeremy Slater has been tapped to create the series. Slater has plenty of experience in adapting comic book stories for the small screen, most recently he helped develop and write Netflix’s hit series, The Umbrella Academy.
No word yet on when we might expect to see the Moon Knight series on Disney+.
