Sarah Paulson will be stepping behind the camera for the AHS spinoff series, American Horror Stories.
Ryan Murphy’s new spinoff series was announced back in May and is said to be a companion anthology series where each episode is a one hour stand-alone ghost story. We don’t know yet if the series will follow the same trend of have the same cast playing different characters for every episode instead of each season. If the series does do this, there is a good chance we will see a variety of new faces joining the franchise as a platform to showcase their acting range.
Tuesday morning, Paulson was a part of a panel for the new Netflix show Ratched, where she was asked about her other Murphy projects, American Crime Story: Impeachment and American Horror Stories which is where she made the announcement that she would be directing the spinoff saying, “What can I say? I’ll be directing something.”
During the interview Paulson was candid about the production status for the various shows saying, “The state of the world and California aren’t having their finest moments in dealing with this virus. Both productions will be shooting in Los Angeles. We were less than two weeks from starting Impeachment. I heard rumors of October, then 2021. A lot of rumors, no facts.”
The tenth season of American Horror Story has also been delayed because of the pandemic.
