A royal decree from the Queen! *Drumroll* The 4th season of The Crown will premiere November 15th!
Netflix has slowly been releasing information about the upcoming 5th season of The Crown over the past two months with casting announcements, rumored plot lines, and the hopes of being able to start filming later this year. All of the announcements came with the caveat that there was still no date for the 4th season to air. Now all the build up has paid off. The Crown Netflix Twitter account announced this morning when the 4th season will premiere along with a teaser trailer.

For the 4th season the core cast of season 3 will remain the same with Oscar-winner Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Ben Daniels as the Earl of Snowden, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, and Marion Bailey as the Queen Mother.
In the trailer we get the briefest of glimpses of two new core characters in the series, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher played by Gillian Anderson with her characteristic hairstyle. The other is probably the most anticipated character in the entire series, Princess Diana played Emma Corrin. We get a peak at the Princess’s iconic wedding dress from her marriage to Prince Charles in 1981.
Season 4 is expected to cover the Royal Family from the late 1970’s to the early 1980’s.
Season 4 of The Crown will premiere November 15th, only on Netflix.
