During the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, the highly anticipated WandaVision trailer was finally unveiled!
The upcoming Marvel Studios and Disney+ show WandaVision finally has a trailer, and it has Wanda and Vision, as well as viewers, asking all of the questions.
Check out the trailer below:
The captivating new series will premiere in late 2020 on Disney+. Starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, WandaVision marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
In the trailer we see the couple bouncing around different decades and plotlines all with a mysterious undercurrent. Something is amiss but what that is exactly is a mystery to them. It is set after the events of 2019’s Avenger’s: Endgame. Even though Vision technically died during the events of Avenger’s: Infinity War (and his death is even referenced in the trailer), it is still unclear what exactly has brought him back for the events of the show. Could it be a power the Scarlet Witch unknowingly unleashed? We will have to wait to find out.
With the trailer being released, it looks like WandaVision will be the first of the planned new Marvel TV shows to premiere on Disney+. This shuffles the order a bit as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was supposed to premiere first in August, but has been delayed due to the pandemic. Disney previously announced that WandaVision would be coming to Disney+ in December, however the trailer only said “coming soon”.
