Tom Hiddleston’s schedule is getting busier with the news of his starring role in White Stork on Netflix!

Netflix has already ordered 10-episodes of White Stork, according to Deadline. The political thriller will star Hiddleston in the leading role as James Cooper, who is running for a seat in parliament but has some secrets that could ruin everything if they come to light.

The description for the series reads:

“In White Stork, when James Cooper (Hiddleston) is selected to run for a seat in parliament, Asher Millan is sent to vet him for primetime. But she quickly uncovers potentially damaging secrets buried deep in James’ past. Secrets that will threaten to blow everything apart – his career, his marriage, even the powerful people backing his campaign”

There’s no word yet on who will be starring in the female lead role as Asher Millan opposite of Hiddleston’s character.

White Stork comes from British Television Production company Eleven, which also produced Sex Education. The series is created, written and executive produced by Christopher Dunlop, while Kristoffer Nyholm will direct the series.

Hiddleston is also starring in Loki for the much newer streaming service Disney+. Reprising his role as the mischievous villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe character which first appeared in Thor in 2011.

He’s tapped for six episodes of that series, but there’s no doubt that it will be extremely popular among fans that love the character. The series will also be directed by Kate Herron (Sex Education), and written by Michael Waldron. However, the Disney+ series won’t be released until 2021.

The actor also recently won a Golden Globe and an Emmy nomination for his role on The Night Manager, a limited series which aired on AMC in the U.S.
